4. Text entered into our tools

The text-processing tools provided by TextUnicorn operate locally in your browser.

Text that you enter, paste, upload or otherwise process using these tools is not transmitted to TextUnicorn servers for processing.

We therefore do not receive, store or analyse the contents you process with these tools.

Closing the page or deleting the content in your browser ends this local processing unless a particular tool explicitly states otherwise.

5. Cookies, local storage and consent management

TextUnicorn stores technically necessary preferences such as your selected language, appearance and privacy choice locally in your browser. These settings are used only to provide the functions you request.

Our consent banner lets you allow or reject optional analytics. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time through the “Privacy and cookie settings” link in the footer.

Where consent is legally required, non-essential storage or access to information on your device takes place only after you have consented. Subsequent processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

6. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, only after you have explicitly consented.

Before consent, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded and no analytics request is sent. After consent, Analytics helps us understand which pages and text tools are used and how the website can be improved. The data processed may include page views, approximate location, device and browser information, and interactions such as running a tool, copying a result, or downloading it.

Text entered into or processed by our tools is not transmitted to Google Analytics.

Google Signals and personalised-advertising features are disabled in our Analytics configuration. Processing is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Data may also be processed by Google LLC in the United States using the safeguards required by applicable data protection law.

7. Google AdSense

Google AdSense is currently not active on TextUnicorn. We do not load the AdSense advertising script and do not display or measure advertisements.

Technical publisher information and the ads.txt file may remain available as preparation for a possible later launch. This does not itself cause AdSense data processing. Before advertising is activated, we will update this Privacy Policy and implement the required consent solution.

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide, including your email address and the contents of your message, in order to respond to your enquiry.

Depending on the nature of your enquiry, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. Our legitimate interest is to respond to communications addressed to us.

We retain correspondence only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose, unless statutory retention obligations require longer storage.
