0How to compare two lists
Paste one item per line into List A and List B, choose the comparison options, and run the tool. The result is separated into three useful groups: items found only in A, items found in both lists, and items found only in B.

What the comparison shows
Only in A is useful for records that disappeared from a newer export. In both confirms matching entries. Only in B shows newly added records. Each line is treated as one complete item; this is different from comparing the wording inside paragraphs.
Exact matches or normalized matches?
By default, two lines match only when their text is identical. Trim whitespace ignores spaces before and after an item. Ignore capitalization treats Mannheim and mannheim as the same value. Remove duplicates prevents repeated lines from appearing more than once in a result group.
For example, Mannheim and mannheim are different with exact matching. Enable trimming and case-insensitive matching to treat them as equal. Review these choices before comparing identifiers for which capitalization or spacing is meaningful.

Frequently asked questions
Can I compare email lists?
Yes. Put one address on each line. You can first use Extract Email Addresses if the addresses are embedded in other text.
Are duplicate items counted?
The “Remove duplicates” option controls whether repeated entries are consolidated before comparison.
Does capitalization matter?
It matters unless “Ignore capitalization” is enabled.
Is my list uploaded?
No. The comparison runs locally in your browser; the text entered for the tool is not sent to a TextUnicorn server.
